When God Says “Wait”
"The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him." — Lamentations 3:25. Waiting is hard. Whether it’s waiting for a prayer to be answered, a dream to come true, or a breakthrough to arrive, the waiting season can feel like a desert—dry, lonely, and endless. But in Scripture, we see time and again that God uses the waiting seasons to shape His people. Think of Sarah, who waited decades for the promise of a child. Or Joseph, who spent years in prison before stepping into his destiny. Or even Mary and Martha, who waited for Jesus to arrive when their brother Lazarus was sick. In each story, the waiting wasn’t wasted. God was working behind the scenes, preparing hearts, strengthening faith, and aligning His perfect timing. If you’re in a waiting season, know this: God is not absent. He is with you in the waiting, using this time to draw you closer to Him. If this spoke to you I send out a daily devotional like this.
